Thank you to those people who attended our 'thank you' party on
23rd. July. It would have been nicer if more of our clients had been
able to attend, but they were obviously as busy as we've been over
the last 2 months.
Ian has been back to Sabah for the International Expo, also
keeping in touch with clients in Sarawak & Brunei. Whilst in
Brunei he was asked to put forward a submission to a Government
Dept. re contacting companies in Australia & SE Asia, who would
have an interest in 3 proposed developments. Ian returned to Brunei
on 4th. October to present the proposal.
Late August & September was an extremely busy time for us,
with the election being called. Many of the Territory politicians,
as well as some hopefuls, wanted to contact everyone in their
electorates.
To all clients for whom we do letterbox drops by private
contractor, please note that for midweek deliveries ( Tuesday /
Wednesday) we must book these in by 10am on Wednesday the week
prior. For weekend deliveries the booking must be made by 10am the
Tuesday prior.
Clients who wish similar deliveries by Australia Post are
reminded that we must book 3 weeks ahead of delivery and lodge with
Post 1 week prior. The last unaddressed deliveries by Australia Post
this year are in the week November 29th. to December 3rd.
We are continuing to improve our services.
Our new plastic bagging machine will arrive this week. this
machine will definitely speed up the inserting & sealing of
newsletters etc & cover sheets into plastic. the inserting &
sealing are done in one pass, not by hand as has been the case.
In a couple of months we will be acquiring new software, which
will allow us to print clients' invoices & statements directly
from information emailed to us. This will be especially convenient
to larger organisation who currently spend some days on the task.
One of our clients has already expressed a keen interest in this
service. Darwin & Palmerston City Councils are also interested
in using Mailfast rather than interstate companies, once the
software is running.
One comment we occasionally hear is:"Oh! I didn't know you
did that" To inform our clients of what we can do for them, we
intend to hold several information & demonstration evenings
later this month. Drinks & nibbles will also be available. More
on this when we have the dates set.
This new website is bringing results. The latest a request from a
company in Singapore to quote on printing & posting 30,000
magazines on a quarterly basis.
Mailfast is planning an advertorial later this month. If you are
approached by NT News re advertising, it is a genuine request.
That dreaded time of year is starting. Daylight saving has
arrived. Tasmania added an hour on 3rd October. Victoria & New
South Wales will follow suit at the end on this month, as will South
Australia. Lots of answering machines & missed calls until
March.
